SHWP: A Government Initiative for School Health and Wellness
Ayushman Bharat School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP) is a Government of India initiative aimed at promoting the health and wellbeing of school-going children. Developed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the SHWP application serves as a reporting tool for Health and Wellness Ambassadors (HWAs) in schools.
The SHWP application allows HWAs to report on various school-based activities conducted with students, as well as undertake pre and post-test assessments. It also functions as a resource center, providing HWAs with access to Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on the 11 thematic modules of the SHWP Curriculum.
Key features of the SHWP application include the ability to download training completion certificates, quick and easy reporting of classroom activities, the option to upload pictures of classroom sessions, and a referral function for HWAs to make need-based referrals of students to nearby public health facilities. The application also provides an easy-to-understand visualization of school activity progress.
It is important to note that the SHWP application does not collect any personal data of students and is not linked to any other sites.
